We are proud to introduce our wonderful NEW Santa who celebrates not only the Croatian culture overall, but also the areas of Gorski Kotar and of Lika----2 areas where many of us have ancestry! From his pine forest decorated Santa's coat, to his tree that is resplendent with "ornaments" showcasing the famous Croatian checkerboard, this Santa is a definite "must-have!" Our 2023 Santa also features a bear companion* that not only wears a SAHOVNICA belt, but who also waves the Croatian flag and carries a PRIM/BISERNICA for the Santa who carries him.

*Brown bears (who are often born with black fur) are common throughout the pine forests of GORSKI KOTAR and of LIKA. Croatia boasts a bear population of around 900! Gorski Kotar offers exceptionally favorable bear habitats, supporting a stable number of bears. 

Bears are a strictly protected species in Croatia.
