Licitar are brightly decorated with sugar frosting (colors will vary since all are handmade), with a small mirror placed in the center. Typically, a message was usually attached which read, "Look into this mirror and you will see the person I love."

Today, Licitarska Srca are used as Christmas tree ornaments and they are exchanged year-round. Also a PERFECT gift to give at Croatian-American weddings.

These NEW lovely licitarske srce measure 1.75 inches in diameter, and are approximately 1/2 an inch  thick!

These Licitarska Srca were made in Marija Bistrica by expert craftspeople.

WHITE LICITAR (like these) are far more difficult to locate, but they are VERY elegant and make beautiful favors at dinner parties, showers, weddings, and at all holiday celebrations!
