CD/MulitmediaWine
Ever since the existence of Croatians on this territory (7 th century A.D.), the inhabitants of Croatia have been famous for their skills in vine cultivation and wine production, however, few people know that during the 19 th century, Dalmatia used to provide wine for the majority of Europe, even France. For most people, it would also be surprising to find out that about 400 native varieties existed in Croatia in the early 19 th century and that our small country still takes the first place according to the number of autochthonous varieties grown across a unit area.
The aim of this multimedia CD presentation (Flash) is to give information to wine enthusiasts, tourists and occasional passer-bys and spread the knowledge about the ancient viticultural tradition of Croatia. Special emphasis has been placed on certain varieties such as Babiż, Plavac mali, Zinfandel and Grażevina, which have become symbols of Croatian winemaking. Details are also given about the research that led to the discovery of Dalmatian origins of the world-famous Zinfandel grape.
Besides lots of useful information about the wine history and tradition of Croatia, information is also given about winemakers, assortment as well as current wine production. This multimedia CD contains more than 100 color and black and white photos, maps and diagrams and an authentic musical background! A interactive map of winemakers is also included. The beauty of viticultural Croatia will leave you breathless!
