DIANA ZELMANOVIC is perhaps the best known jewelry designer in all of Croatia. Her jewelry is entirely hand-crafted, offering a delicate balance between brilliantly colored glass beads, semi-precious stones, shells, and sparkling silver-plated wire. Top fashion models as well as contestants in the Miss Universe and World competitions have worn her jewelry. Zelmanovic's designs have also been featured and published in Croatian editions of "Elle" and "Cosmopolitan" magazines. Diana Zelmanovic was born in 1961 in Zagreb, Croatia. She studied sculpture at the College of Arts in Zagreb and specialized in jewelry design at the School for Applied Arts. Her gallery "Oblak" opened in 1990 and is now one of the most popular craft shops featuring handmade items, in Zagreb. This all-natural Adriatic shell necklace (and earring set) is double-stranded.
