40 big hits by Croatian song-writer, Djordje Novkovic! DJORDJE NOVKOVIC wrote many beautiful songs and on this CD, they are sung by quite a wide variety of well-known Croatian recording artists. Since 1997, Novkovic, along with Miroslav Skoro, ran Croatia Records. In 2003 Novkovic gained a lot of popularity as judge of Story Supernova Music Talents, a reality show for aspiring musicians similar to American Idol. The audience was amused by his sarcastic comments directed at contestants and his co-judge Miroslav Skoro, earning him a reputation similar to that of Simon Cowell (in American Idol). He died suddenly at the age of 64, in 2007, from an apparent stroke, in Zagreb.
