This serene and beautiful water-colour etching is by acclaimed Croatian artist, Josip Generalic. Josip Generalic, who died in 2004, is the son of the Master of Naïve Art in Croatia, Ivan Generalic. This graphic is first hand-printed on a paper using a large press and a copper-plate in black and white, a medieval technique that was first developed by Albrecht Durer during the 15th century. The artist then applies water colours to paint these exquisite, one-of-a-kind, original works of art. "Village with Snowman" is a perfect piece of art for those who love to be reminded of typical Croatian villages as they look in the winter-time. It measures 15.5in. x 13in.
